You also need to actually find a prom hairstyle—but not just any hairstyle! You need the perfect hairstyle for your special night.

Today I want to show you a video I found that demonstates how to create an incredible 1920’s inspired prom hairstyle. It was apparently inspired by Katherine Heigl and is the perfect prom updo if you’re looking to go glam.

Pay close attention to how the stylist uses the curling iron if you plan on doing this style yourself or are having a friend help (have them watch the video too!) If a stylist is doing your hair tell them you want Katherine Heigl’s chignon—and print off the picture below.
